Ukulele

The Ukulele group meets each Friday of the month at Kinver Senior Citizens Club from 1.30 to 4.00pm, we learn and play popular, well known songs from many eras and are always adding new songs to our repertoire.
We’re a happy and sociable group and our aim is to have fun and enjoy ourselves.

Many members of the group enjoy performing for others so we play various gigs throughout the year, this ukulele band perform under the name of ‘Ukes On The Edge’.
Should you not wish to perform with the band then this is not a problem as our group is open to and welcomes everyone, beginners, improvers and the more experienced players.

If you are considering taking up the ukulele then we can loan you a ukulele to get you started and will teach you the basics so that in a short time you will be able to play a few easy songs. Following on from the basics, and with practice, you should be able to progress onto more challenging songs.

No musical knowledge is required and if it’s a case of “I don’t want to play the ukulele but I do enjoy singing” – then the ukulele group could also be for you and you will be made very welcome.

Whether or not you have any previous experience, drop in one Friday afternoon and maybe you will enjoy what you see and hear and the ‘ukulele bug’ just might bite!!
